ALONE is a national organisation that strives to enable older people to age at home, safely and securely, for as long as they wish. We work with all older people, including those who are lonely, isolated, frail or ill, homeless, living in poverty, or are facing other difficulties. ALONE recruits, trains and supports volunteers for a number of services including our Visitation Support and Befriending Service, and our Telephone Support Service in which volunteers give 1-2 hours of their time each week to provide companionship to an Older People. We work with a number of older people in the Clarecastle, Ballyea and surrounding areas who would like for someone to visit them however we are finding it difficult to recruit volunteers in your area.

Would you be willing to provide companionship to an Older Person for 1-2 hours per week? ALONE are currently seeking volunteers for both their Visitation Support and Befriending Service, and Telephone Support Service in Clarecastle, Ballyea and surrounding areas.
