Bishops Conference Statement: The recent meeting of the Irish Episcopal Conference held virtually during the week, issue a document titled “Framework Document for a Return to the Public Celebration of mass and Sacraments”. The statement outlines the steps that parishes will need to engage with prior to the welcome opening of churches for public worship from the 29th June. Resuming public worship will come with restrictions and one of the chief ones will be with regard to capacity in the churches of the parish. The pastoral councils will discuss the document during the coming week and will brief people on the deliberations of the council in the coming weeks. We will need help from our parishioners to act in a voluntary role to enable the church and parish to function and will be grateful to all who volunteer.
