Clarecastle & Ballyea Heritage & Wildlife Group have been kindly given access to some video footage that recorded the last day of the net salmon fishing in Clarecastle on 31 July 2006. There is also some footage taken at the Quay in the days just before that. All the boats and crews that fished on that last day are featured.  But there were other fishermen who did not go fishing on that day or were not present at the Quay.  The Group has an archive of fishing photos but would welcome any photos of fishermen or boats over the years to complete this important archive. You may have an original photo. These can be quickly scanned and the original handed back. Copies of fishing licences, invoices for gear etc. would add to the story.
